DragonPlate carbon fiber Gurit PVC40 foam core is a unique closed cell, cross-linked polymer foam core. This is a lightweight structural foam that has good impact strength. While great for high strength applications which require a low panel weight, this is a carbon fiber foam core laminate that can resist crushing forces and supply an adequate mounting surface. The lay-up design is quasi-isotropic, consisting of three layers of carbon fiber on each side of a Gurit foam core center. A Depron carbon fiber foam core laminate has the strength and stiffness of a carbon fiber laminate, but lacks the compressive strength and crushing resistance of a structural foam core. The lay-up design offered is one or three layers of carbon fiber on each side of a 6mm Depron foam core center. Available in gloss, matte or texture on one side and texture on other side for bonding to other surfaces.
Carbon Fiber Depron Foam Core Specifications
DragonPlate’s carbon fiber Divinycell foam core utilizes Divinycell H100 high performance core. This is a medium density structural foam with very high strength to weight ratio. With very large strength properties, this carbon fiber foam core laminate is an excellent choice for heavier duty applications where lighter density foams struggle. Divinycell H100 is also an excellent damage tolerant foam and is ideal for impact applications. The lay-up design is quasi-isotropic, consisting of three layers of carbon fiber on each side of a Divinycell foam core center.
