Dragonplate high modulus carbon fiber sheets are fabricated using a special type of fiber that is processed to have a stiffness double that of our standard uni prepreg sheets and about 3 times as stiff as our standard solid Dragonplate. This product is available in a satin finish on both sides.
Although more expensive than our other carbon fiber options, this material is nearly double the stiffness of aluminum, but at half the weight, providing an opportunity for unprecedented weight savings in applications where minimum panel thickness, weight, and deflection are critical. Our standard offering includes a few select panel thicknesses; however, we are able to custom fabricate these plates up to 30"x40" and 1/2" thick upon request.
