120 Degree Round Connector

$20.92
Create strong, lightweight 3-way and 4-way 120° joints in modular round tube structures for canopy frames, tent structures, and other angled assemblies.
SKU: FDPCK-MC120DEG-CONN

The 120° Cylindrical Connector enables 3-way and 4-way junctions using round carbon fiber tubes, with one or two axial members in line and two lateral members set at a 120° angle from each other.

This connector is compatible with 5/8" (0.625"), 3/4" (0.75"), 7/8" (0.875"), and 1.0" modular round tube connectors.

Lateral Connections (120° Members)

To form the angled lateral members:

  • Bond End Thread Connectors (for example, the 1" Short Threaded End Connector) into two round tubes.
  • Attach these tubes to the two flat faces of the 120° Cylindrical Connector using ¼" countersunk screws through the pre-drilled clearance holes.
  • 5/8" access holes around the curved surface allow an Allen wrench to reach and tighten the internal fasteners during assembly and adjustment.

Axial Connections

4-Way Configuration (Two Axial Members)

  • Bond one axial tube with a Short Threaded End Connector (e.g., 1" Short Threaded End Connector).
  • Bond the second axial tube with a Threaded End Connector with a 3/4" long stud (e.g., 1" Threaded End Connector with 0.75" Stud).
  • Thread the two axial tubes together through the axial ¼" clearance hole, clamping the 120° connector between them to form a 4-way junction.

3-Way Configuration (Single Axial Member)

  • Bond one axial tube with a Tall Threaded End Connector (e.g., 1" Threaded End Connector).
  • Fasten the axial tube to the connector using a ¼"-20 screw through the axial clearance hole to form a 3-way junction.

Assembly Notes

  • For proper access to the internal fasteners, attach the 120° lateral members first, before installing the axial tube(s).
  • For long-term use, a thread-locking compound (such as Loctite) can be applied to help keep screws securely tightened over time.

Typical Applications

  • Canopy and tent frames
  • Lightweight support structures
  • Angled trusses and bracing members
  • Custom modular frames using carbon fiber round tube
