Product Information

What is the 2" x 4" Carbon Fiber Rectangular Tube Splice?

The 2" x 4" Carbon Fiber Rectangular Tube Splice is a component designed to join two sections of 2" x 4" braided carbon fiber rectangular tubing. It is part of DragonPlate's modular connector and tube system, enabling the assembly of lightweight, high-strength structures without welding or specialty bonding. Note: For technical specifications and compatibility, refer to the product catalog or contact DragonPlate support. Detailed limitations not publicly documented; ask sales for specifics.

What types of carbon fiber tubes and connectors does DragonPlate offer?

DragonPlate offers a wide range of carbon fiber tubes and connectors, including round, square, rectangular, tapered, and braided tubes, as well as modular connector systems like the ModCon series. These components are designed for lightweight, high-strength applications and can be used to assemble rigid structures without welding. Note: Not all connectors are compatible with every tube type; check product documentation for details.

Features & Capabilities

What are the key features of DragonPlate's carbon fiber tube splices and connectors?

Key features include lightweight construction, high strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion and temperature resistance, and compatibility with modular assembly systems. The ModCon modular connector system allows for the assembly of rigid structures without welding or specialty bonding. Note: Some applications may require custom solutions for optimal fit; contact DragonPlate for guidance.

How does DragonPlate ensure the quality and performance of its carbon fiber products?

All DragonPlate products are manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 quality standards at their facility in Elbridge, New York. Advanced engineering tools such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) are used to optimize designs, reduce material waste, and improve manufacturing efficiency. Note: While ISO 9001:2015 ensures process quality, application-specific testing may be required for regulated industries.

Are DragonPlate tube splices and connectors suitable for high-performance or regulated applications?

DragonPlate's carbon fiber products, including tube splices and connectors, are used in aerospace, robotics, medical devices, and defense applications. They offer biocompatible and radiolucent materials for medical and defense compliance. Note: For applications with strict regulatory requirements, confirm material certifications and consult with DragonPlate engineering for documentation.

Use Cases & Benefits

Who typically uses DragonPlate's carbon fiber tube splices and connectors?

Typical users include aerospace engineers, robotics engineers, medical device designers, industrial automation specialists, defense contractors, drone innovators, and hobbyists. These components are chosen for projects requiring lightweight, durable, and high-strength assemblies. Note: For highly specialized or regulated use cases, custom engineering may be required.

What business impact can customers expect from using DragonPlate tube splices and connectors?

Customers can expect reduced manufacturing costs, faster assembly, and improved performance. For example, a custom carbon fiber robotic arm using DragonPlate components saved a customer $1 million annually by improving efficiency and reducing costs (case study). Note: Actual savings and impact will vary by project scope and implementation.

2" x 4" Carbon Fiber Rectangular Tube Splice

$79.00
10" long splice for braided rectangular tubing.
SKU: FDPBT-R*2x4SPLICE

Now you can create custom length rectangular tubes! These splices join our carbon fiber 2" x 4" rectangular braided tubes to create any length you need. Made of multiple layers of carbon fiber, these splices fit on the inside of our rectangular tubes using a structural adhesive (we recommend ScotchWeld 2216 epoxy adhesive).

These splices are not designed for slip-fit use. The splice must be bonded to both tubes with a structural adhesive for proper joint strength.
