Dragonplate braided tube with carbon/Kevlar face ply has the same construction as the standard braided tube, but with the outer braided material comprising a hybrid carbon/Kevlar blend. This tube maintains most of the rigidity and strength of the standard all carbon fiber braided tube, but with the aesthetic look of carbon/Kevlar. If additional rigidity and strength are required, the twill roll-wrapped tube with carbon/Kevlar face ply is recommended. These tubes can also be used with our Modular Tube Connecting System to easily create complex structures.

Nearly all of our current carbon fiber braided tubes can be made with the Carbon/Kevlar braid, or even optimized further with a fully customized laminate schedule including both standard and high modulus carbon fiber with the Carbon/Kevlar braid as the outer layer. Call for details. Wall thickness is approximately 0.045". Tube finish is gloss.
