Our carbon fiber tubing has been engineered to be much stronger under torsional and side loading than pultruded tubing. Our carbon fiber tubing is also significantly lighter than pultruded tubing. Our carbon fiber large tube has been designed so that the unidirectional layers are captured, eliminating longitudinal cracking and splitting. The finish on this product is different from our other product lines.

 

The standard braided carbon fiber tubes show the natural finish of the carbon fiber braid with a wet shiny appearance.

 

To facilitate bonding we now offer textured braided carbon fiber, allowing for a more consistent attachment surface. This surface is also ideal for painting. Please allow 5-7 days before tubes with this finish ship.
