Features & Capabilities

What are the key performance characteristics of DragonPlate carbon fiber products?

DragonPlate carbon fiber products offer a high strength-to-weight ratio, durability against corrosion, temperature extremes, and UV exposure. They are engineered for long-lasting performance in demanding environments. Advanced engineering tools like Finite Element Analysis (FEA) are used to optimize designs and reduce material waste. Note: Performance may vary based on product type and application; consult technical data sheets for specifics.

Does DragonPlate offer custom fabrication or engineering services?

Yes, DragonPlate provides custom fabrication services including CNC cutting, custom sheet sizes, and specialized laminate schedules. Engineering and design services are also available for unique parts and assemblies. For advanced engineering, DragonPlate partners with Element 6 Composites. Note: Lead times and feasibility depend on project complexity; contact DragonPlate for a quote.

What modular connector systems does DragonPlate provide?

DragonPlate offers ModCon modular connector systems, which allow for the assembly of rigid structures without welding or specialty bonding. These systems are designed for ease of use in robotics, aerospace, and custom applications. Note: Compatibility with all tube types is not guaranteed; verify with product documentation.

Pultruded in an epoxy resin, DragonPlate Carbon Fiber Tubes and Rods are exceptionally straight and rigid and are an ideal building material for frames, trusses and for use as reinforcing material. Because tube and rod are fundamental building blocks, they find great utility in the building of engineering and high performance structures, and work well in concert with DragonPlate Carbon Fiber Laminate.

DragonPlate Carbon Fiber Tubes and Rods are easy to work. They can be cut with a band saw, coping saw, scroll saw, end mill, or dremmel tool. Because DragonPlate Carbon Fiber Tube and Rod are pultruded in an epoxy matrix they will bond readily with Scotch-Weld 2216 epoxy resin.
