The 1-inch Modular 5-Way Cube features 4 threaded and 1 countersunk holes, designed for applications where tubes need to be fixed without rotation. It includes four ¼-20 threaded holes on one plane of the cube's faces and one countersunk clearance hole on an orthogonal face. The clearance hole allows a countersunk ¼-20 flat-head screw to pass through the cube and secure into a threaded insert in a mating tube.
The countersunk fastener is inserted through an access hole on the opposite face of the cube and rests against an internal surface inside the cube. After assembly, the access hole can be covered with the included plastic snap cover for a clean, professional appearance.
