0.5" Clam Shell Pultruded Tube Splice

This carbon fiber splice is used to join 0.5" pultruded tubes when contructing a frame out of DragonPlate pultruded tubes and connectors. This allows the creation of longer trusses and frames beyond the available 4 and 8 foot long tubes. Whereas the exteral pultruded splice only connects two tubes, the clam shell splice provides locations for up to 6 diagonal connectors to be bonded. This allows for diagonal members to be added at the splice location. Each splice is 4" long.

Nylon screws and nuts are supplied to aid in the bonding process, eliminating the need for large, heavy clamps during assembly. These screws are designed for bonding purposes only, and will not contribute to the strength of the structure. STUCTURAL ADHESIVE MUST BE USED.
